Our
Mission - Faith Alive! We wish to provide, through the Discipleship Series, readable and engaging resources that contain an inspiring balance of Scripture, commentary, real-life stories and excerpts from the Catechism and other Church teachings. Through these resources, we hope to foster a discipleship in Christ that overflows with love of neighbor, so that the ancient witness may be renewed: "See how they love one another!" |

Shared Inspiration
Helping Children in Jamaica
We completed our Discipleship faith-sharing course last week and everyone agreed it was a very good program. Here is a picture of one of our participants, Deb, who was on a mission trip to Jamaica with a group from Wausau. Deb works for an optometrist and spent most of the two weeks she was there helping the doctor fit glasses for the citizens of the village. She also worked part of the time with the young children in school. The picture is of the children helping her carry the optometry supplies into the building. Deb makes this trip every two years and has already done a variety of tasks. The afternoon group members also were pleased with the program. The facilitator of the afternoon session told me one of the women in the program (one of my former RCIA candidates) made the remark that "Catholics just don't realize what they have, it's not found anywhere else." I guess that's what we're trying to make people understand! God Bless you! Diane F.
